Sharon has climbed many mountains in her life - both those standing tall upon planet earth, and those erected in her body/mind. Having successfully summited many 14ners in Colorado, including the highest peak, Mt.Elbert and the most challenging peak along the front range, Longs Peak as well as spending the night in the volcanic crater on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, she knows how important it is to train the body and mind, and how valuable it is to rely on a tool kit known as the Ten Essentials. As a result of her direct experience over a life time spent in the mountains, she is capable in helping you navigate challenging terrain.

As the founder and director of Mountain Wisdom Wholistic Health LLC, Sharon Harvey Alexander, is on a mission to elevate well-being across the planet, one breath, one person at a time. She is 
a natural healer, creative movement specialist, whole health advocate, wellness educator and breathing coach who offers simple yet profound techniques designed to expertly melt away strain, stress, and inner darkness so that you can live a vibrant life at any age. Experience less pain, better sleep, more joyful relationships, and an increased sense of overall positivity by working with Sharon.

Sharon is passionate about the transformative power of the breath, and its role in elevating well-being. She understands intimately how the way you breathe reflects the way you live, and can help you transform your life by transforming the way you breathe. She also has a keen eye for healthy physical alignment, and a curiosity about how our mental and emotional states affect overall well-being. She uses her passions and education, her understanding and unbridled curiosity to help her clients unravel the mysteries in their body, mind, heart, and soul so that they can banish pain, and cultivate ease in all aspects of their life. The work that Sharon does has evolved over more than 30 years and is a blend of many different somatic and energy healing modalities. Her intent is to help you cultivate greater levels of nourishing 
self-awareness and combine that with aligned and inspired physical action, meditative movement, and mindfulness that is fueled by a powerful connection to life force energy.

Through her sensitive and compassionate guidance, those who have struggled to find effective solutions for what ails them leave a session with her feeling better than when they arrived. Often, they experience a sense of release, of overall healing - physically, mentally, emotionally, and/or spiritually - in a natural and effective way.


Before devoting herself to guiding others on a journey of sustained and integrated natural health, Sharon worked in a variety of professional positions, raised a family, and traveled the globe. She has worked in hospitals, for nonprofits, municipalities, and taught yoga philosophy and meditation in a university setting. This work, coupled with her roles as mother, wife, community member and friend, allowed her to fine tune her ability to see the best in others, and to help them see that, too.

As the director of Mountain Wisdom Wholistic Health LLC Sharon draws from a large tool box of practices in her healing work. With roots in ancient wisdom and backed by modern neuroscience, the tools she chooses are tailored to your unique wellness personality. Did you know that Sharon is a long time teacher and practitioner of yoga and meditation? And that she has an undergraduate degree in clinical nutrition, did graduate work in urban planning, and is certified as a professional ayurvedic yoga therapist, holistic stress management educator, skillful reiki master teacher trainer, and breathing coach? She applies her education and skills along with her wisdom and maturity, in her work to elevate well-being in people of all ages and abilities. She loves most working with young adults who are trying to manage life while still learning about who they are, as well as mature professionals who are nearing or into retirement and now have the time and interest in improving their health on the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual planes so that they can live their remaining years in a comfortable and meaningful way.

Sharon is also the author of the widely selling book: 
Learning to Breathe, Learning to Live: Simple Tools to Alleviate Stress and Invigorate Your Life. She wrote this book not only because the tools in it were the key to her successful summit (and overnighting on top) of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, but also because she has found that the way we breathe reflects the way we live, and that when we learn to breathe properly, we can improve the quality of our life, at any age. Sharon speaks and trains from the book locally, and internationally.
